Congratulations to all the members of the club who swapped their football boots for trainers as they competed in the MYPC Sponsored Walk around Richmond Park. The Walk lasted 11.5km (or more if you took the wrong route as one group did!) The club generated around £1000 from the sponsorship of the walkers. Money raised will go towards the Club Centre Fund in order to set up a permanent base for the club in Pitshanger Park. Details of the project are below.
Award Of County ColoursOn the 19th July, several Pitshanger players were awarded county colours for representing Middlesex with distinction at regional levels. The awards were presented at Clarendon Hall in Twickenham. Rob Sen and Simon Hearn from the Under 18 team collected the awards on behalf of the players.
The morning of 26th June 2005 dawned grey and cool. Every so often, the site set-up team would steal a glance at the leaden sky. Would the promised sunshine arrive in time for the opening ceremony? Yes it would. Right on cue, the clouds parted and a record crowd, estimated at 12,000, enjoyed a perfect summer's afternoon and evening in Pitshanger Park. Pitshanger FC as usual played host to a large junior football tournament. Boys' and girls' teams played matches on six pitches. This highly popular event attracted many visiting teams in a number of age categories, and it took most of the day to get through all the matches.
Presentation Evening
The Pitshanger Soccer 7s teams also celebrated with a presentation evening at GSK Leisure Club. There were awards for representing the club as well as player of the year trophies given by both the managers and team players. The U9Bs, U10As and U11 Girls picked up their respective league trophies that had been won during the season. Also on offer, were the prestigious club awards which can be given to any player from any of the 9 teams representing Pitshanger. Dominic Davies from the U9Bs was named the most improved player while Tom Berry from the U10Bs was given the accolade of most versatile player. The biggest award of the night went to Michael Capon from the U10As who won the Stuart Jones Club Soccer 7s Player of the Year. The Club Girls Player of the Year was presented to Mollie Yates of the U11s for her tremendous performances this season.
MYPC Athletics 2005
Sunday 5th June saw over 250 competitors, officials, volunteers and spectators gather at Hayes Stadium for the 42nd MYPC Athletics Championships.
As usual Pitshanger put their football boots to one side and picked up their running shoes to compete in this fantastic spectacle. Many of the competitors were rewarded with medals to commemorate their achievements.
Tom Clark of the U14s held off the challenge of team mate Yasumasa Tokumoto to win a silver medal in the 400m and was also part of the bronze medal winning relay team.
Two of the U14s contest the 800m.
Representatives from Pitshanger FC Under 10 Teams attended Brentford FC's Kick It Out day in October 2004. Here they are pictured with Brentford club captain Michael Dobson. For more information on the "Kick it out" campaign visit www.kickitout.org.

Over the past year much work has been done on preparing proposals for a new Club Centre at Scotch Common, which will at last replace the derelict and partly demolished remains of our previous premises. Our plan is for a 290 sq.metre building, sited to give good views and access to the pitches. The cost of the full scheme, including pitch improvement works, is estimated at around £650,000 and we are seeking financial support from many sources, including the Football Foundation, to enable the project to proceed shortly for opening in 2006.
The proposed building will provide changing, showering and toilet facilities for players and officials using the two full-size football pitches and three soccer-seven pitches which the Club plans to lease from London Borough of Ealing. The facilities will also cater for use by the Club’s girls / ladies teams.
A committee room and clubroom will also be provided where Club meetings can be held and where after-match refreshments will be served to players, supporters and officials. The building will be used in conjunction with the football pitches in the park, which are to be properly drained and levelled to provide improved playing surfaces and durability.
Sensitive design and construction techniques are to be used, together with the existing trees and hedges, to make the building blend well into its surroundings. This will include special finishes for visual, operational and maintenance reasons
It is felt that our Club needs to re-establish its base at Scotch Common if it is to maintain the level of support it gives to the local community. The considerable support and encouragement to date for these proposals from the London Borough Ealing is very much appreciated by the Club.

A tremendous amount of work took place during last season to formalise the quality of the Club’s provision of youth football and this was rewarded with the granting of FA Charter Standard Club status.
This measures and monitors the Club’s activities in administration, manager and coach qualifications, child protection, on-field discipline and equal opportunities.
In 2003, we were very proud to be presented by the Harrow Youth League with the award of 'CLUB OF THE YEAR'.
The Harrow Youth League comprises 75 clubs and over 450 teams, and is one of the top-ten ranked youth leagues in the Country.
The award reflects the clubs overall performance in regard to areas such as sportsmanship, discipline, club development, girls football, smooth administration etc.
We were honoured to be the first ever recipients of this award with its magnificent trophy, presented to HYL on its diamond jubilee by the Middlesex County FA.
On behalf of the Club Officers, Team Managers, Committee Members, Coaches, other helpers and himself, the Chairman thanked all Club members for their continued help and support in making the club so successful.
